Building Permits

If you intend to build a structure greater than 100 square feet, you are required to submit the following: 

• Building Permit Application Forms
• Electrical Safety Authority
• Site Plan  
• Entrance Permit Approval from Municipality of Oliver Paipoonge or approval from MTO if on a numbered highway  
• Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority approval 
• 2 sets of Drawings; one will be returned
• Mechanical drawings for heating and ventilation 
• Fireplace and chimney details 
• Plumbing schematic 
• Septic field approval 
• Proof of potable water 
• New Home Warranty Declaration Form (for new residences only) 
• Truss Certificate
